iMAL new venue is located on the 2nd floor of a renovated building typical from 1920 industrial architecture.



The 600m2 are divided in the following rooms: office and workplace, a large workshop or play room (10x8m), a storage room, a large public space of 400m2 with a bar and a small projection room or 'black box' (10x4m). Equipment includes many computers, videobeams, LAN and wi-fi, sound system, and iMAL lab maintains a large variety of specialised devices (sensors, A-D interfaces, IR,...).

Chapter 1 - The Discovery: Honorary Mention Ars Electronica 2010

iMAL Video Archives 2000-2006 on YouTube!

This online archive is the result of a first effort to preserve our media art video documentation from 2000 to 2006 and share it with the largest audience. Thanks to Robin Foguenne, our current internship, wet digged into dozens of DV tapes to compile about 40 clips for a total duration of more than 3 hours in the best quality according to the original medium. Media Facade Festival Europe at Transmediale 2010

Media Facade is a European project with FACT / Liverpool, m-cult / Helsinki, iMAL / Brussels, Ars Electronica Futurelab / Linz, Kitchen Budapest, Medialab-Prado / Madrid – initiated by Public Art Lab / Berlin and supported by EU Culture Programme. Marie-Laure (iMAL) will be at the first internal workshop and public presentation of the project which will happen in Berlin during Transmediale.
